Question

Can I limit my results within GALILEO Search to full-text articles only?

Answer

A full text limiting option is available to use on the Search page. To limit your results to full-text articles only, follow these directions:

  1. Enter your search terms within the search boxes provided.
  2. Select the “Full-Text Search” option within the “Select Search Options” area of the search form.

Because the nature of federated search systems like GALILEO Search is to search multiple and varied resources at one time, it is possible that limiting your search to full-text articles will not always retrieve only full-text results. Depending on the content of the database(s) that are searched, your results may include non-full-text articles.

Searching in a specific database’s native interface offers more controlled search functionality for retrieving full-text articles.
