Frequently Asked Questions

Question

How can I find a list of all journals in GALILEO?

Alternate Question(s):

Where can I find title lists for GALILEO databases? What database should I use to find a particular magazine?

Answer

The databases provided via the GALILEO interface provide access to content in a variety of formats. Most databases; however, provide access to journal, magazine, and newspaper content. Some of the databases provide only access to citations and abstracts from journals, magazines, and newspapers; however, many offer access to full-text articles as well.

Journals and Magazines that are available in full text via most GALILEO databases, including EBSCO and ProQuest, can be located by searching the Journals A-Z list or Magazines A-Z list. This list can be located in the Jounals A-Z tab within GALILEO Scholar and the Magazines A-Z tab within GALILEO Library, and GALILEO High School.

Also, GALILEO’s information screen for every database contains a link to a title list for that database if it is available. To reach the information screen for a database, click the “more >>” link to the right of the database’s name in the GALILEO menu.
