Question

How do I add a new GLRI record?

Alternate Question(s):

How do I copy a GLRI record?

Answer

To add a new record in the GLRI system, log in to the GLRI system (contact GALILEO staff for a userID and password if you don’t have one).

A) To start with a blank workform, click the New Workform button and enter the information about your resource. (See GLRI Help for information on what to enter for each field.)

B) To copy a record from another institution, click the Search All Records button and search for the resource by name.
Note: Be sure to change URLs and branding information so that it reflects your institution’s information.

Click the Save button to save the record. (For the record to appear in your GALILEO pages, you must check the Activate box on the General tab and then save it.)

Note: An overnight system update is required for changes to appear in GALILEO.
