Encyclopædia Britannica allows you to create search boxes for your library or media center site. You can find the code you will need to create these search boxes in Encyclopædia Britannica. Click on Teachers’ Resources and then click Search Boxes on the left.
You will need your GALILEO proxy prefix for this to work off site. To find the proxy prefix for your institution:
- Find your GALILEO institution code on the bottom of the “Contact Us” form: Institution: #### (name-consortia)
- Plug the 4-character code into the following URL in the bracketed section: http://proxygsu-[your GALILEO site code].galileo.usg.edu/login?url=
- Paste the URL you just created into the Apply proxy prefix box in the Britannica Search Boxes section and click Update.
- Then, copy and paste the updated code on your library or media center webpage.
If you have any questions or problems, please contact GALILEO staff for assistance.
