How do I disable or uninstall the toolbar?

Answer

If you are having any problems with the GALILEO Toolbar, you can disable or uninstall it.

For Internet Explorer:

To disable the toolbar:

  1. In the browser, click on the X at the far left end of the toolbar
  2. Click the Disable button to confirm you want to disable it

To uninstall the toolbar:

  1. Click the Windows Start menu
  2. Choose Control Panel
  3. Click Add or Remove Programs
  4. Scroll down to LibX for IE
  5. Highlight LibX for IE
  6. Click Remove
  7. Click Yes to confirm that you want to remove the toolbar

For Firefox:

To disable or uninstall the toolbar:

  1. Go to Tools > Add-Ons (If you don’t see the Tools link at the top, click the orange Firefox button in the upper left and then choose Options > Options.)
  2. Scroll down to GALILEO Toolbar
  3. Highlight GALILEO Toolbar
  4. Click Disable or Uninstall
  5. Restart Firefox
