How do I disable or uninstall the toolbar?

Answer

If you are having any problems with the GALILEO Toolbar, you can disable or uninstall it.

For Chrome:

To disable the toolbar:

  1. Right-click the toolbar’s icon (small GALILEO logo in the top-right), then select “Manage extensions”
  2. Unchecked the checkbox labeled “enabled” by the extension labeled “LibX for Google Chrome (TM)”

To uninstall the toolbar:

  1. Right-click the toolbar’s icon (small GALILEO logo in the top-right), then select “Remove from Chrome”
  2. Click “Remove” on the Confirm Removal window.

For Firefox:

To disable or uninstall the toolbar:

  1. Go to Tools > Add-Ons (If you don’t see the Tools link at the top, click the orange Firefox button in the upper left and then choose Options > Options.)
  2. Scroll down to GALILEO Toolbar
  3. Highlight GALILEO Toolbar
  4. Click Disable or Uninstall
  5. Restart Firefox
