We have another discovery service — how does that work with GALILEO? We already have discovery through OCLC, Serials Solutions, or another vendor — how will that work with GALILEO?

The discovery landscape is evolving quickly, including the forging of new agreements among vendors to share data and services. For example, OCLC and EBSCO recently announced plans for the EBSCO Discovery Service and OCLC Worldshare Management Services (WMS) to interact. The implications of this arrangement are not yet fully known. In the meantime, please contact GALILEO to let us know which vendor is providing your discovery service, so that appropriate coordination of services and/or licenses can be assessed.
