Why am I having problems with the toolbar in Internet Explorer?

Answer

Several users have reported slowness, problems downloading the toolbar in Internet Explorer, and certain features not working properly. Please note that LibX for Internet Explorer is still under development and is considered “beta” software. Although the toolbar is available for Internet Explorer, it was designed for Firefox and performs much better in Firefox.

If you are having problems, please inform GALILEO using the Contact Us form. GALILEO staff will provide as much support possible and will report problems to LibX. Please know that some problems may not be resolved for the toolbar in Internet Explorer. Additional information about LibX for IE can be found here.

If the toolbar is causing problems in Internet Explorer, you can disable it temporarily or uninstall it.

To disable it:

  1. In the browser, click on the X at the far left end of the toolbar
  2. Click the Disable button to confirm you want to disable it

To uninstall the toolbar:

  1. Click the Windows Start menu
  2. Choose Control Panel
  3. Click Add or Remove Programs
  4. Scroll down to LibX for IE
  5. Highlight LibX for IE
  6. Click Remove
  7. Click Yes to confirm that you want to remove the toolbar
