Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view PDFs. Visit the Computer Configuration Instructions page to download the most current version.
If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x or higher, you may need to modify your Adobe Acrobat Reader settings in order to view PDFs.
Follow these directions to modify your settings:
Adobe Reader 7.0
- Open Adobe Reader
- Go to Edit > Preferences > Internet
- Uncheck “Display PDF in Browser”
- Click OK
- Close Adobe Reader
Adobe Reader 6.0
- Open Adobe Reader
- Go to Edit > Preferences > Internet
- Uncheck “Display PDF in Browser”
- Click OK
- Close Adobe Reader
Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0
- Open Adobe Acrobat Reader
- Go to Edit > Preferences > Options
- Uncheck “Display PDF in Browser”
- Click OK
- Close Adobe Acrobat Reader
Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0
- Open Adobe Acrobat Reader
- Go to File > Preferences > General
- Uncheck “Web Browser Integration”
- Click OK
- Close Adobe Acrobat Reader
NOTE: From now on, when you click on a PDF link in EBSCOhost, you will be given the choice to save the file to disk or open it from its current location. Open the file from its current location to view it.
