Encyclopædia Britannica allows you to create search boxes for your library or media center site. You can find the code you will need to create these search boxes below.

Follow the steps below to create your Britannica search box:

You will need your GALILEO proxy prefix for this to work off site. To find the proxy prefix for your institution:

  • Find your GALILEO institution code on the bottom of the “Contact Us” form: Institution: #### (name-consortia)
  • Pick your grade level below and plug the 4-character code into the following URL where you see ### :
