Frequently Asked Questions

How do I save or print an article from the Georgia historical newspapers?

To save or print an article, just click the View/Save/Print PDF link at the top of the page. This will open a PDF document. You will need to use the Save button (a diskette icon) or the Print button (a printer icon) at the top of the Adobe window to save the PDF file to your computer. You will need the Adobe reader plugin to view these.

To print just a section of the page using Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari,

1) Click the Page Thumbnails button in Adobe (the two pages icon on the left of the screen)
2) Move and resize the black box on the page thumbnail image to the section to be printed (make sure the thumbnail image is not highlighted in blue)
3) Click the Print icon (a printer) at the top of the Adobe Reader screen
4) In the Print options popup window, choose to see Current view (it may be under More Options) under Pages to Print (Note: If you don’t see this option, go back to the article and make sure the article is highlighted in blue, not the thumbnail)
5) Print the section of the page
